On July 13, her younger sibling shared the heartbreaking news through a touching Instagram post, leaving fans and peers in deep sorrow. The post included tender photos of Kang in a hospital gown, smiling softly while holding a cream puff—one of her last visible moments of joy amid a grueling battle with illness.

The sibling wrote, “Even while enduring immense pain, she worried about others—worried about me. She hadn’t been able to eat for months but insisted I use her card and never skip a meal… Even while surviving on painkillers, she said she was thankful it wasn’t worse… My sister, you went through so much. I hope you’re free from pain now and only experience happiness there.”

Among the many tributes that followed, actress Park Ju-hyun—Kang Seo-ha’s former classmate from Korea National University of Arts—left a heartfelt comment, “My deepest condolences. Yewon… Please stay pain-free and keep that beautiful smile of yours up there.”

Kang Seo-ha began her career in 2012 with a debut in the music video “Getting Farther” by Brave Guys. She went on to act in several prominent dramas including Seonam Girls’ High School Investigators (JTBC), Assembly (KBS2), Flower of Prison (MBC), Heart Surgeons (SBS), and Nobody Knows (SBS). Her final role was as the lead in the upcoming film In the Net.

Known for her gentle spirit and resilient heart, Kang Seo-ha is remembered as an actress who faced unimaginable pain with grace and gratitude. Her passing has sparked an outpouring of love and remembrance from fans and fellow artists, many of whom are now cherishing her enduring legacy.
